With Hallucination Love releasing soon, it’s about time “Blackoak” got a few loops in my ear.”Blackoak” is the purest form Maribou State, sentimental, fuzzy and synthy, all mashed into a VHS style aesthetic sound, like it’s all recorded on a scratched tape, but it’s nostalgic, reflective and heartfelt. “Blackoak” is all play no work and it pays off in such beautiful ways. Going back and relistening to Maribou State’s 2023 track has made me all the more amped for Hallucination Love and not to mention the music video is peak aesthetic.”Blackoak” is amazing and the synth sound can carry me to heaven thank you.
