What’s so good?

Kormac and Katie Kim remind you to stay grounded amidst the chaos with “Down Below.”

“Down Below” is a melting pot of a single—from pressing scratch DJ-ing to soft vocals and dreamy sample beats. It all collages and amalgamates into a bouncing, expressive piece that doesn’t shy away from switching things up, releasing a whole new set of endorphins. Kormac pulls out all the stops and doesn’t let go until the very end.

Speaking to the track, the Irish producer and composer explains: 

The collaboration with Katie happened almost by accident. I love her music and sampled the vocal from her track Pause, really just to use as a placeholder, to write over until I got someone in to sing. It sat so well with the chords and drums I came up with I decided to reach out and chance my arm!
I wasn’t sure if she’d be up for me using her vocal in such a different context but she came back saying she loved it and was so gracious about it all.
