The thematics of vampires are always a win in my book, but what if those thematics joined in on late-night drives, neon-lit streets and the eternal party? Well, that’s when you get Tame Impala’s “Dracula,” a smooth celebration of the nightlife, the forever party “run from the sun like Dracula” being the chorus call is not only a great line, but also a narrative choice. Tame Impala don’t want their party to end; they want it all to go on until the sun dies out, until there is nothing but the bumpy tracks in the night and the party that never leaves you tired.
