What’s so good?

There was a time when I was younger when the likes of DJ Shadow and Emancipator were on loop. Their downtempo jazzy beats set the soundtrack for my study sessions, my late night chillouts, and everything in between.

To this day, I still fancy myself a good intricate beat. Fortunately Nifty Earth has delivered such a gem for my ears – and for yours, too.

“Look Back” seems to be less of looking back, and more about looking forward. Apparently Nifty Earth was struggling with a bit of writer’s block, constantly worrying whether his music was good enough to impress. And eventually he decided to let that all go and make the music he wanted to hear. Turns out it’s the music I wanted to hear as well, so kudos to him for taking the leap!
