What’s so good?

Rocket just recently announced their debut record will be releasing later this fall. With that anouncment came the premiere of their newest single “Wide Awake” and the rollout has solidified my belief that this band is about to really blow up and it’s well deserved.

As with their previous songs, “Wide Awake” perfectly captures that 90s alternative sound. If you played any of the band’s work to someone and told them it came out in ’97 they’d probably believe you. 

There are plenty of bands that have a throwback aesthetic whether it’s the 70s, 80s or even early 2000s but Rocket is a rare example in just how perfectly they capture the spirit of an entire era of music.
